In a recent survey we did, stress management was one of the top three most popular choices when asked “When you think of making positive changes in your life, what areas are you feeling stuck in?”.

It’s no secret that the Covid virus has turned our planet upside down. And life was already pretty stressful before that!

Managing things like our busy family schedules, our jobs, relationships and health can be challenging. We are not always aware there is another way to live.

Hypnosis gives you an opportunity to try on different ways of dealing with stress. You may not realize it, but you tend to react to situations in life using programing you learned when we were a kid.

You’ve been doing it for so long that it just seems normal. And, it may just be hurting you.

Us humans always make choices in the direction of what we believe is more pleasurable. And, we make choices in the direction that is away from what we belive is most painful.

No matter how painful it may be for you, you have a definition that says “this is the more pleasurable choice”.

An example of this would be a person who deals with stress by blaming him or herself. They may have started behaving like this as a child when they felt they were not loved by their parents, or by a parent. This person may have issues with digestion, or a variety of other health issues because they are focused on self-blame. They may even be abusing themselves with drugs or alcohol or… whatever!

No matter how painful it may be for you, you have a definition that says “this is the more pleasurable choice”. They are getting something out of their choices and continue choosing situations, circumstances, lifestyles rather that letting themselves change because they have a believe that says “change would be more painful” then the pain they are experiencing now.

Once these beliefs can be identified and replaced with a new way of coping, people find that they feel better because their overall stress level has declined.

The idea is really that basic! When you make a decision to drop a core belief, you will find your life will change on some level, big or small.
